Hi
I am new to this site so I just want to introduce myself and my bike as I commence my restoration. I was lucky enough to get an almost complete bike with a few spares as well. and to make it even better I have the help of a good friend and classic Honda genius to assist through the project.
So far we think it is a 1965 Model (TBC)
The plan is to get the bike running and then start on the paint and cosmetics as and when my budget allows.
I look forward to discussing and asking your advice as the project progresses.
Cheers Daniel Williams

Welcome to the Forum! Looks like you have a fantastic start to your project there. Post the frame and engine numbers and we can help out with dating. There is a white takg on the wiring harness under the tank that has a date of manufacture (for the harness) that helps with dating.

Pity about the front fender and the nasty seat re-cover job. The rest looks pretty nice. If you intend to run it then take a look inside the centrifugal oil filter and put some fresh oil in the sump.

So I have been a bit quiet but very busy on the bike. I have a bunch of photos which are too big to load here and I am struggling with my flikr account but so far a list of what's been done...
Tore down the bike
Replaced bent valve
zinc plated various nuts and bolts
zinc plated foot pegs
polished all the polished engine covers (except the ones that need to be painted)
ordered and recieved new cables
ordered and received pistons and sleeves
new oil seal set
sand blasted frame and tins
sent everything off for paint
seat is in for recovering
waiting for choke link and air filter bands (ordered)
waiting for wiring harness (ordered)
ordered new mirrors, gas cap, gear shift rubber , kick start rubber
stripped forks
sent fork covers for chroming
polished chrome tank covers
restored tank rubbers
bought new plastic tank badges
acquired new back mud flap
fixed broken foot peg bracket
polished condenser
repainted coils and rectifier
polished ... brake baking plates, ignition, brake stays, down pipes, stripped shocks and polished,
rethreaded lever perches
polished levers , perches, handle bar, top triple clamp,
polished bar controls
polished speedo bezel
fixed tail light bracket and got the correct screws.
polished all steering dampener parts.
sorry this is just to remind myself I am making progress..... so much more to do !!!!!
looking forward to putting the motor back together and cant wait for the newly painted items.

if you managed to read this far then you might be able to point me in the right direction to get a chrome strip for my seat.... I cant justify buying a whole seat for just the strip!!

updates will follow periodically
