I have decided to start building a 1961 CB72R. It started actually 5 years ago when I bought a 1963 model CB77. When I took the engine apart, I was a little bit confused that it was a 5-speed gearbox in it, and thought it was some kind of homemade modification, and it ended up With a New 4 speed gearbox.
At a later point I discovered that this was a racing / YB part, and I decided to start collecting other YB parts, and the rest who is needed to build a bike. So this bike will completely being build of parts from here and there.
I have already sent most of the chrome parts to replating in Poland, and some parts for re-zink here in Norway.
I will use this Project as a fill-in for my work on a 1960 CS92, a 1963 CB77 and a 1964 CB92.
I hope that some of you will enjoy following it, other to give me some answers on things I don’t know, and maybe someone have some missing parts for sale as well.
I will start with the engine, and the parts I have.
I still miss YB-camshafts and the magneto ignition. So if someone have that for sale, or can give me a hint of some similar unoriginal parts, it will be fine.
