Finally running

Post by chrisnoel » Sun Jul 14, 2013 8:47 pm

have here a late vin 67 CB77 Superhawk. Finally running after a couple of years. Not a restoration but a fix up. Kept what original parts I could and still looking for a few more... Chain guard, left cover are at the top of the list.

Seat is done without trim installed, controls and signals are 1969. Mirrors are cheapo but I was going for 1969 look here too. Mufflers are cheap BSA style aftermarkets that I got a deal on because the bolts had torn out of the brackets. Welded one by one stainless angle to them and bolted through the original exhaust holders sticking out under the swing arm.

Must like 1969 motorcycles a lot as you can even see a bit of the tank on my 1980 Suzuki with 1969 Honda red and gold on it.

Trying to sort out the Solenoid right now. Cleaned the contacts inside but I think the magnetic section may be getting hung up. Will try one more time to dismantle it further and see if I can save it. Anyone have a line on where to get a new one?
