Took my CL77 (CL77 1042738) I've been working on since Spring out for it's first extended cruise yesterday evening, rode about 30 miles around town with no problems except a stuck float that was easily handled so I'm offically on the road!
I took it down to the frame (engine in) to check everything and get reaquainted with 305's and put it back together using better parts where possible from a parts bike I've had since Katrina (it wasn't a parts bike before Katrina but that's a different story).
The engine makes a little lower end noise but nothing serious and I'm still looking for some parts but I'll deal with that when the time comes, right now I want to ride!
Thanks again for all the knowlege contained on this site, I've been able to find answers and inspiration here whenever I've needed it.

Nice bike there.
Mechanically I suggest ya index the Kick Starter lever to 11:00 when folded in.
The reason is that where ya have it in the pic ya are using the inside stop of the Kick Shaft rather the streight down/against the foot peg stop.
Using the internal stop will cause ya to twist the spline end off the shaft and ya will need to split the cases to repair the engine. ..........lm

Thank you for pointing that out about the kicker. Something I have not given much thought to but will file it away for a rainy day. RW

I have a CL77 I bought and the KS assy isn't there as the feller thought that if the KS lever was as far forward as he could install it he could get more kick power.
The shaft is destroyed and the lever hangs loose! .......lm
