HI All: I have been visiting this web site for about two years. It’s a great site with many knowledgeable people. I marvel at the willingness to share information. Thank you all. I have learned a grate deal from you. Special thanks to Paul (4Shorts) as he was my biggest inspiration. I wanted a 305 Honda Dream when I was 15 years old. That was in 1965. A friend of mine came ridding up on one and it was love at first site. So, reliving my youth, I finely have one, a CA78. I bought this bike for 500 dollars and it looked bad, the engine was frozen and tires were flat. I first freed the engine by soaking the cylinders with penetrating oil for two weeks then slowly heated the cylinders with a blowtorch. When they were hot to the touch, I began wiggling the crank back and forth to free it up. Next I rebuilt the carburetor and fired her up. I bought a set of those junk mufflers you see on Ebay and drove it the rest of the summer to get all the bugs out of her then started tearing her down for refirb. At first I was just building a rider but when I was able to get brand new OEM mufflers and reading Paul’s postings, I decided to do a better job. I’m not a mechanic, I’m a computer geek so I don’t have Paul’s skill set. I took many pictures but these five kind of show the sequence I went through. This has been great fun and I recommend it to anyone.
P.S. I also did a CA160 to learn on. If there anyone is interested, I will post a few pictures of it also.

Hello 67305dream.
Well I'm so happy to know I had a small influence on your restoration and I really appreciate you mentioning it. thanks! Man you did an outstanding job on that Dream. I love the way it turned out. If your not proud you should be. I just love the look of those bikes. I always have and always will I guess. Really nice to see someone who always wanted one to end up with one. I would love to see a few pics of the CA160 as well. Congrats on some find work there sir. Tip my lid to you. Paul I figured I'd post those great pics for you :) 1964 CT200
