I might have a complete chrome fork lock cover if you're interested. It probably would need to be rechromed to look as good as the rest of your project.

It's just therapy Steve.

With your help we'll have a race-kit 'twin' for it in a couple of years.... :-)

Seadog

Thank you for the kind offer. As with pretty much everything on this bike - the fork lock cover is unique. There is no cover flap and no hole for the pivot. I have one that I can modify but I think the shape is a little different, too.

I've only ever seen one other CB72 looking (almost) that good & faithful, Graham; it's identical to yours and is/was owned by forum member Dennis Lodge. I can't find the images that I have, presently.

Like yours, it has the little taillight -- which was, incidentally, carried on into much later production on Canada-bound machines -- breather tower, SLS brake, top yoke instrument mounting, etc, etc.

Hi Steve

Yes - I have been corresponding with Dennis. I have the picture supplied some years ago before I even got this bike.

Dennis was kind enough to help me out with details and some parts that he had left over.

I'll email the pic back to you.
