Well, the hosting site I used for my photos, Photobucket, has stopped allowing links to the photos unless I pay them an inordinate amount of money as a "subscription". They've all disappeared from this site and other sites that I have photos linked back on. I will try to edit the most important posts to include the uploaded photos. Please bear with me!

Yep. Same has happened on my Citroën C6 support forum!

I tend to embed images, but I store them with mega.co.nz; 50GB of image/video hosting for free...

Hope the resto is going well, Sara!

On another forum I follow, Photobucket's ransom demand is a hot topic. Someone found a workaround, which will only be temporary until PB finds out about it. I have closed my PB account, so I don't know if it really works, but it's said that if you place the string ~original after .jpg in the PB URL the photo image reappears. It might be worth a try, but finding another photo hosting site is probably a better long-term answer.

I decided today was good time to replace the generator rotor with the "high magnetism" one I bought a month or two ago.

It did NOT go well. And it's not finished.

I tried to "get away with something" by not removing the engine side cover, because, as you all know, the footpeg perch, kickstart lever, header pipe and muffler all have to be removed to get that cover off. I tried a workaround by just removing the rotor and leaving everything else intact. The issue came when I tried to fit the new rotor, and I stripped the retainer bolt and buggered up the threads in the end of the crankshaft. Oh. S**t.

Now I DO have to remove the engine cover.

Does anyone know what pitch thread chaser I need to buy to clean up the threads in the crankshaft? And, where I can get a new retainer bolt for the rotor?

I know better. Yes, I do....
