Hi Sara

Nice to have you back. Just so that we can do some thinking with you, what have you actually got at the moment.

Podtronics rectifier - regulator?
Low output rotor or high output?
Have you tried a different rotor?

I still need to try re-magnetising a rotor. It sounds pretty easy....

Hi Graham!

It's good to be back!!!

I see you're still working on that CB72. That bike will be a museum piece when you finish it!

To answer your questions:

1) I have a Podtronics, new in the box. It's waiting for a higher output stator.
2) My rotor has the L stamped on it. The stator is the original. Are they high output? Apparently not, they won't keep the battery topped off.
3) Yes, I have. The rotor in the bike right now is not the original. I'm tempted to try another one, too!

Let me know if you find a way to remagnetize a rotor! I did see a video on YouTube a while back where a fella remagnetized a Triumph or BSA rotor while it was on the bike by hooking a high output battery charger to the stator and energizing it briefly. That was intriguing!

It's good to hear from you!!!

I'm curious, is the CL72/77 rotor and stator interchangeable with the CB72/77?

Hi Sara

In my CL77 parts book the rotor is listed as a 268 number, so same part.
