I rode her about an hour. Wow. Just wow!!

I filled her up with premium, 91 octane (I guess), and she sure liked that!

She's not the quickest thing in the world, but she pulls evenly all the way through the gearbox (those x-ed gears), and she shifts flawlessly. She will get hung up on the downshift from fourth to third if I'm not positive enough, but every other gear, including neutral, is just a "snick-snick". The engine never hiccuped, never missed, never did anything silly - it just ran! The mirrors are clear all the way up through the revs, they never ever vibrate so that you can't see anything in them. The footpegs don't vibrate very much, either. The suspension is smoooooooth, but I do need to go up a notch on the shock pre-load. The rear is kind of soft. Those skinny Heidenau (spelling) tires feel a little funny, but they're okay. The brakes are really strong, they feel like disks! I need to adjust the rear brake pedal a little, and I need to adjust the angle of the clutch and front brake lever, too. But other than that...she's great! The engine is oil tight, no oil anywhere after that ride, and she got up to temp.

There is oil on the tach cable. It's coming out of the top, at the tach end (maybe that's why the tach stopped working), so the seal or something isn't in right or something.

But, that was all! She was just flawless. She made all those familiar noises I last heard so long ago, and she brought back some fond, fond memories. Only, this time, she runs far better than she did the last time I rode her.

I am really proud of her!

She's a proud old girl, isn't she?

Oh - she turned A LOT of heads! I had people pull up along side me and slow down so they could look her over. A fella in a van at a stop light sat a while through the green and stared at her! That was pretty neat!
