What a concept - A Girl Bringing Back Her 1966 Super Hawk
I'm back from my school in Texas. I hope to get back on track with the Old Girl next week.
While I was in Dallas, I took a little drive over to the Gas Monkey Garage and met this fella: He's a really nice person, and the work the shop does is impeccable! I didn't tell him I was working on my Superhawk - what I've done can't even compare to Gas Monkey.

I didn't meet Aaron, no. I would have liked to! I was there when they were finishing up on an upcoming episode featuring a black '63 Bel Aire. I met the fella who bought the car, he took the picture! The gals up front in the swag store were really sweet, and the store was way cool. I went there to get a T-shirt, but I ended up with more than that. They were all really nice people, and Richard was very gracious to take the time to chat for a few minutes and allow this photo. They do build some cool hot rods, too - Fast and Loud!

I've got the gas tank ready for paint, again. Hopefully this time will be the charm! I put the fenders on the old gal to get an idea how she'll look. She's going to be pretty! Because the Duplicolor paint on them is so brittle, the fenders are coming off again for color sanding and then clear coat.
I'm pretty well bogged down with work related stuff right now, but I am hoping that once the tank is painted, I can put it on the old girl and get her started. I'd like that to be next week. I'm going to be on the phone with LM when I push the button so he can her blow up and me scream! 1965 CB77 305 Super Hawk

I was in my driveway this afternoon when I heard a motorcycle approaching. It sounded like a twin, but it didn't ring any bells and I didn't turn around, until it was almost past me. Because of that, I didn't get a chance to wave the rider down, and I would have, because the bike was a BEAUTIFUL white Dream - looked completely stock, and really nice!!! It sounded wonderful, just as I remembered that they did (it's been DECADES). Now I really can't wait to get my Hawk started.
I need to find out where that Dream is and talk to the owner. 1965 CB77 305 Super Hawk
