Nice work.

What paint did you use on the engine covers...and how did you apply it? It looks nice.

What brand and color grey paint are you using for the engine covers?

flyin,

I’m using rustoleum high heat engine enamel in flat aluminum for the engine covers
and the same high heat enamel in black for the oil filter cover and points cover.
just masked off the area and then wet sanded the over spray.

Today i got the chrome tank sides cleaned up and took some of the small dents out.
Got the tank knee pads back on the chrome sides and also got them black and soft agian.
The knee pads were cracking and hard, so a little of glycerin went on them for a day to
soak. Rear fender, top engine cover, and tail light housing got primer on them.
One question, is the tail light housing black or silver?

Black bikes got a black tail light bracket. Red and blue bikes got a silver tail light bracket.

Thanks for the reply. Its been a few days since my last post. Since then i've split the case to clean it out and reseal it. I found a master link clip for the cam chain and allot of sludge and aluminum chips from the loose cam chain. I also need elec. starter part for the clutch. The only thing I have is the starter, sprocket, and the clutch housing. I'll try to take some pics of the progress.
