NEW 1967 CB77 OWNER
I had my Superhawk running, but now it's time to do a bit of a tear down and build her back up. Winter is here and I need a project.
The first thing I'm doing is rebuilding at least the top end of the engine. When I bought the bike it came with all the gaskets required for a top end rebuild. The right side crank case cover has been welded together, when I start looking for a replacement cover is it only CB 305 I should be looking at, or is there other compatible models? I've never done this before, so any advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

You should look for CB72 or CB77 parts for the right side case. They are pretty expensive for the reason yours was welded up. If you haven't already done so I would get some manuals for the bike including the Bill Silver guides. That will help you understand what you have and what is important. G

They are a breaker's yard in Minnesota and if they have them, they will be in good shape at a reasonable price. I bought a carb for my Dream from them. They are easy to deal with and the replacement worked fine without touching it.
(I LOVE the CB77!!!!) Ive had stuff from them too. Decent prices and good to deal with.
