I believe this car was one of the handful that Honda Brought over in 67 or so as a preview of what they were going to bring, but they couldn't get them to run clean enough so they never brought them. Rather than ship them back to Japan, they left them with the dealers. This car was purchased by a dealers brother or some such, driven around a bit, then parked in a carport in Denver. It seems likely that Honda brought German market cars here in that 'preview' context.
