Looked at the frame again today, it had been cut and rewelded below the rear engine mount as well, real hash job.
Got the engine torn apart, better than the frame, but not by much. When I removed the head I vacuumed most of the top of one piston out of the bore, basically it had crumbled. I had to cut the pistons in two to release them from the bore and get them off the pins after I got the barrel off. Used an air chisel for that. Not sure if the crankshaft will be usable or not yet. Oil pump turned freely, small section of primary chain badly rusted, but clutch parts are usable. Haven't cleaned the rust off the transmission bits yet, but I'm sure some are badly pitted. Got the forks out, they look good. There are some usable parts in there I'll keep. Not sure about the head yet. The rubber on the cam idlers are beyond saving. When I get a chance I'll dig into the rest further.
