Questions on basket case CB77
awesome info, thank you much!
I will turn up a spacer to eat up that gap. for now its admittedly just tightened on there, which doesn't require much force. The spacing on somethings clearly off as theirs a similar issue at the triple. it takes some force to get the tubes to align with the triple if the axle is bolted. Spacing is off on something, i just question how problematic it is. Perhaps wear the fork seals faster? easy enough fix with a chunk of aluminum and lathe. I actually dig the goods on this thing. the way the fork sits further from the frame, how the headlight sits kind of up and out, the gators and absolutely love the reverse speedo. I'm in the market for a reverse speedo drive. the peg brackets appear as casted. tough to tell from my photos no doubt. this will be a no fender, hidden battery wanna be racer bike. wish i knew enough to build it somewhat legit. maybe some day. even more so i wish it was an all original hawk. maybe someday. roger that and thanks for the clarification. do you suspect as is it causes any issues? the bike was like that. i assume ridden like that but you never know. Ive gone for a few 15-20 mile rides. can you also clarify on the small-brake axle? i follow on the spacers on both sides and likely needing to space the brake stay as well. greatly appreciate the help.
