Byrdman, Wow, nice job. Is your battery in the tail section? Or did you use a battery eliminator? Any changes or additions planned, maybe pod filters? Ya shoulda got 1st place! Scram64

Wow Joe that's going to look great - once you get it done you have to stop by for a photo of them side by side.

Just give me a call - your always more than welcome to stop by anytime...

Scram - the battery is in the tail section. Its a small sealed battery that I pulled from my CBR to design the tail section around.

The pods are giving me a fit trying to figure out what is going to look right while keeping the rubber tubes. So many people have stated that these bikes perform better with the tubes and even the velocity stacks resembled the tubes more so than the typical bell mouths. I'm probably going to go with some 3" x 5" round K & N's that will look like the old XR750 dirt track bikes - we'll see.

Yep, Tom did the powder coat trick on it.

I used the round angled filters on the flat track bike. Looked pretty good.

Return of the Superhawk

Post by byrdman76 » Tue Jun 22, 2010 3:38 pm

A little Superhawk recognition in the latest edition of Cafe Racer magazine. I must admit I almost pissed myself when I finally found a copy in Barnes & Noble.

Thanks again for all of the parts and advise EMO!

Hope everyone is doing well & enjoying their summer.
