WTB - CB160 motor part "knock pin"

Post by Husbyb86 » Sun Mar 30, 2014 11:21 am

I've got my cases split in front of me, and I'm missing a small, but important component that keeps one of the main crankshaft bearings in place. It's a little "knock pin" that presses into the upper crankcase, in between one of the main crankshaft bearings, and crankcase bearing retainer. See the picture.

Part number is 90701-222-000. Parts fiche calls it a "knock pin" with 6x12.5 dimensions. I can't seem to find it anywhere online or at the dealer.

HELP! Oh, and thanks.

I don't know if the knock pin you're looking for is stepped or not, I suspect not as the measurements you gave are 6x12. But you can find a knock pin for a KZ1000 that measures 6x14mm and cut it down with a dremel cutoff wheel. There are several for sale on ebay.

H; I have a bunch of cb160 engines apart, I'm sure I can find what you need. I'll be at the mt Vernon meeting this month and can pass it along to Ray.
Thanks
Randy

Cool! Thanks Randy. I'm glad you discovered me on here. I may be bugging you for more parts in the future. -Brandon
