I posted the same question recently. Hondakeys.com answered back that the NA series were scarcer than, well NA series keys. He gave me the phone # of someone else who I called and left a message for. Never got a call back. Business must be booming to pass up on a what $20 sale? My NA series column lock only has 3 tumblers in it. A good locksmith should be able to pick it, find or make a key blank and retumble. Might be worth it. Thats what I ended up doing after drilling out the pin.

The chains may be vulnerable to shear, so the shape and materials used in the chain is important. The hexagonal or trapezoidal chain, is more difficult to bolt cutters to get through. Keyring designed for better security to protect bicycle normally higher than the standard chain to buy the hardware store.

Fork Lock

If I remember right you can jimmy the lock out if you take the cover off as long as it is not locked. Somebody correct me if I have that wrong. Of course, if it is held in with a bicycle chain, that is a different story according to the prior poster......

If you can get it out, take it to a locksmith who has been around for a while. It is the really old style tumbler that uses pins. Pretty simple and the locksmith can open it up and make you new keys.

If you can't get it out (and it is not locked), why not just leave it there and keep looking for a key? You will need to be patient, but one will show up sometime. Just a thought.

Locksmiths are not only the type of call when you have an emergency locking situation. They also offer many other useful services for residents and businesses. For your home, you can call a locksmith in your area where you need to change your locks, install a peephole in the door, repair a broken lock or install a new high security lock. Locksmiths may also install panic bars or iron bars for protection. Locksmiths can create a key locking or master key, and can even create a new hair cut all your locks it so just follow with a key.
