That's what I'd do.

Might as well give it a shot. Doesn't seem like it would be very difficult to do, but it's odd that it is properly numbered but on the wrong blank.

Those in your picture don't appear to be original 'Tec' keys, but copies cut into poorly-made blanks.

There are two lock manufacturers that I can recall: Tec and Niles. Tec keys are Txxxx, and Niles are NAxxxx & NBxxxx.

I'll post a pic of my OEM Tec key later this week, as a reference...
