The search continues :/
Seems like your keyswitch has been messed with...

What is the number on your ignition?

I can check with a motorcycle shop in Toronto if you'd like.

Number is T8644. Same number on the steering column lock but I can't get a key even partially into the column lock.

Thanks!

Alright, so I finally worked the three newly cut keys from eBay into the ignition. I couldn't get any of them to even partially enter the column lock, which was also marked T8644.

I ordered two old keys, and only one of them works in both locks. Closer inspection reveals why: The newly cut keys and one of the old keys has an extra ridge on the top of the key (see the photo).

I can't imagine why this bike would have shipped with two slightly varying keys, so I imagine I should try to track down keys without the ridge that will work in both locks.

Interested to hear thoughts, but also hope this helps with others having key problems.

Well done for getting to the bottom of it. The keys that don't fit, could you take the ridge off very carefully with a Dremmel and use them as spares?

I figured I could file them down, but when I'm paying >$10/key, I don't feel like I should have to do that :)
