Need some parts for ca77. Willing to trade original muffler

Post by rockandrollwar » Thu Jan 01, 2009 8:00 pm

Hello guys,
I am new to the forum. I am 24 years old and recently bought my second ca77, and need some really important parts for it. My list includes an ignition, speedometer, original style seat, front fender, rims and of course tank emblems. If anyone has any of these parts extra let me know a fair price. It doesn't have to be in pristine condition but good condition is ideal. If someone has any interest for the hard to come by original muffler I have a pair I will trade for these parts. The right muffler is in real good condition and the left has a dent on the under side that is possible to get out. Both have no rust or pitting. Let me know guys and thanks in advance.

Thanks I hope someone can help me out too. Most of the parts I need can be purchased through Apex, but I have been reading up on some of his products and don't know now. If anyone has any idea where to get an ignition for the ca77 I would appreciate it. And the offer still stands on buying or trading if anyone has the parts specified up top.

yeah, don't go with apex. search the product reviews forum and you may find some other sellers to be wary of or to do business with.

i have an original seat for a CA77 , it has the original covering on it with no rips or tears and you can still barely make out the "Honda" stenciled on the back . the foam itself is kinda detereating , when you sit on it small bits of foam fall out. stainless is nice. i has another one recovered for mine and was sort of saving it to put back on if i ever took it to some show , but would let it go for $75. you might be better off buying a crappy one on ebay and having it recovered

I read that Apex has really bad reproduction mufflers and rims, but if anybody knows how their ca77 speedo is or their cables are let me know. Thanks.

Seat

I have an original seat that we could work out a trade for. I am also searching for the infamous "ghost ignition". That is just as hard to find as negative battery cable. The seat itself is in very good condition with good foam. I also do upholstery work so I can recover it in whatever material you like.
