Evening Gents: Just spent hours out in my garage. Thermometer read 98 degree's. I think it fried my brain. Am I correct in thinking---Positive battery cable disconnected from battery---fuse removed from holder. Key is off. I am getting ohms from the positive cable to ground. Rectifier, dynamo or wiring in between shorted?? One of the three or all of the above. Being lazy today and looking for an easy way out.....Thanks for your time.. mike

I would start at the rectifier. Pull all the leads and check for connection to ground. Should get you pointed in the right direction. Sounds like your on the right track.
