Searching for 1963 C105 55cc wiring diagram

Post by slarsonroy » Fri Aug 26, 2016 4:13 pm

I can't seem to find a wiring diagram in all my books or net search for this early little bugger. Is it positive ground??? I thought I fixed it with a broken wire on the ignition switch, but that didn't get it. Can someone help me out here?

The c100/c105 is negative ground, but the ignition switch switches the negative side of the circuit rather than the positive. Please feel free to PM me if you need more info. I've had a few cubs myself.

Thank you for clarification, that is most helpful. Especially about the ignition switching ground. That's what was confusing me. It looks like a previous owner did some rewiring because the negative from the battery is not connected to any blue wire and I was looking for 6v at the ignition switch.

Is this rectifier testable, as in a diode? Can I check if it's good or not? [/img]

Yes..test it like any other diode. Best way is to use a battery and a test light. It should permit current flow in only one direction, kinda like a check valve. If it's bad. you can simply replace it with a single silicon diode like 3 amps or so.
