66 CL77 head light

Post by seabat » Wed Nov 21, 2018 9:16 pm

I Took the head light apart when I had the bike repainted. Now I'm reassembling bike and have forgotten how the 3 retainer springs go on to hold the light into the bucket.
All help will be appreciated.

thank you. seabat

You mean the little wire "W" clips? They hold the reflector into the chrome rim. Equispaced around the circumference. I can send a picture if you need it.

Hi G-Man
A picture would be greatly appreciated as I am completely lost as to where and how the W wire clips are installed. I took pictures as I dismantled my bike but I missed taking one of the head light.

Hi G-Man
Thank you for the photos, I see what I was doing wrong, trying to mount the light in the case instead of the ring. I should have no problem with the light now thanks to your help.
Really appreciate your quick help and correct response.

Thank you again. seabat

couple of photos to where I am on renovation
