The neutral switch will show a direct connection to ground (the engine case) when in neutral and an open circuit when not in neutral.
There is a resistance reading somewhere in the service manual that you should measure between each wire - sorry but I don't have the number handy - and there should be no connection between any wire and ground.
Neutral SwitchI want to remove the Neutral Switch from my 1965, 305 Dream. If i unplug it then remove the 2 bolts, will i have to reset somthing to put it back together. Will it just go back in.
