ca77 neutral switch/ stator

Post by choctaw » Tue Jan 05, 2016 3:25 pm

Can anyone please tell me how to check the neutral switch and the stator to make sure they are working? I am putting bike back together and need to make sure they are good. Thanks!

The neutral switch will show a direct connection to ground (the engine case) when in neutral and an open circuit when not in neutral.

There is a resistance reading somewhere in the service manual that you should measure between each wire - sorry but I don't have the number handy - and there should be no connection between any wire and ground.

Align the rod on the switch with the slot in the shift drum then install the 2 screws. (no washers). ............lm
