CB77 A/B Spokes Front/Rear

Post by ivancook » Wed Sep 28, 2011 8:24 pm

Just got my spokes back from plating and trying to make sure I get them sorted correctly.

I've got 4 types of spokes. A/B seems to be whether the head is 45 degree or 90 degree so that one's easy.

All of the spoke's step down in diameter as they more away from the hub, but some of them step back up before the nipple.

Which of these are for the front/rear? The ones with one diameter change vs the ones that change diameter twice...

Here's a quick drawing of the 4 spoke types...

45 degree (Thicker with 1 diameter change)
\==========------------------------------------------

90 degree
|==========------------------------------------------

45 degree (Thinner with 2 diameter changes)
\==========----------------------------========

90 degree
|==========----------------------------========

Can someone please add the part numbers for each and/or confirm that the thicker spokes with 1 diameter change are for the rear?

You've probably figured this out by now, but the double-step spokes are for the front rim.
