Wheel Bearings...

Post by carlluvscorinne » Sun Apr 23, 2006 12:17 pm

Hello all: Just wondering if there is any special trick to removing the front & rear wheel bearings from the hubs? I removed the 3 phillips screws and the stamped steel plate, should they now just fall out or do I have to use some sort of puller? Machine is a "64" CB77.
Thanx, Carl

They are pressed in (like any other wheel bearing!), so need to be pulled or drifted out...

I usually find that it helps to heat the hub with a hot air gun first.

What about the rubber seals that are pressed into the inside of both sides and to the outer edge of the speedometer sending unit housing? Can those be replaced?
