Thailand Ebay Seats

Post by advantagecycle » Sun Sep 28, 2014 11:26 pm

Well, as it stands I have 2 CB77 resto's to do this winter so I am starting my parts pile. Both have junk seats, one would be a salvageable recover, but the other is entirely wrong. My question is this, has anyone tried those re-pop complete seats on ebay? Shoot, for the price they look really nice. I'm just curious if the cover is crappy, or dry rots easily, ect.

Anyone had any experience with one?

Paul

I have seen them on plenty of restored Superhawks and I have a blue one that looks OK. David Silver is selling something similar....

Hmmm, I like the idea he is here in the states, I might have to look in his seat. Thx for the heads up!

The only thing that is "wrong" about these seats is the lack of 'upturn' on the trim strip at the front of the seat.

David Silver no longer supplies any pattern parts with a Honda logo. He's had some grief from Honda, I think.
