paint colour
Hi all, I'm just about to take delivery of a 1966 CL 77 305 Scrambler (american) for total restoration. It's Silver and black. I'll have many questions in the future but for now can anybody tell me the name or code for the silver paint? cheers

I use the Duplicolor engine enamel Silver for my cases and other AL parts. It looks great with a coat or 2 of clear Engine enamel. We have used the following paint codes for the early Honda's in the past. If someone has additional information, please send it on.
BLUE:
Toyota blue (add violet tint)
DuPont DBU 16131
Code 882
RED:
Ditzler DDL 71654K
SILVER:
Centauri (DuPont)
Radiant Silver 3556
ENGINE PAINT:
Duplicator (Duplicolor?) High Heat
Cast Aluminum, from NAPA
RATTLE CAN CLOSE:
Silver-Rustoleum Matte Nickel

The paint I use is Standox 594 - Silver which I got from my local paint factor.
The NOS tank is on the right of the picture. It's a bit difficult to show the comparison in a picture but the Standox is perhaps a shade lighter and sparkles a bit more with a two part system (clear over base). I'm happy with that.
