Two Upcoming Events MD & PA....
Two Upcoming Events MD & PA....White Rose/VJMC this weekend near Jefferson, PA. Swap meet Saturday, show on Sunday.
September 7 in Thurmont, MD is the Nostalgia Run sponsored by the Western Maryland Motorcycle Association, and also AMA sanctioned. A really great ride in the backroads of Maryland (I think they had almost 100 bikes last year). Website is www.classicmotorcycleday.org/nrun
Here are a few photos from the White Rose VJM show today (Sun. Aug 17). It was a really beautiful day with temps in the upper 80's, though the 7am ride from Baltimore had a slight chill to it. The turnout for the judging was great, and I'd estimate about 80 bikes in total (if someone has the exact number, please correct me!).
Lots of Honda's in attendance, including some really nice 305 Dreams and a real pretty CB160. The 'Japan Meets Britain/Triton conglomeration got 2nd Place for 'The Most Unique Bike' category -- I was shut out of 1st by the Kawasaki Drag Bike that's in one of the photos. Don't wanna mess with them Drag Bikes when they're around!

Bet you never thought of displaying your tag this way! Unfortunately I had a bit of a mishap on the way up to White Rose. Somewhere along the route my license plate bracket broke at one of the mounting points, and rather than try to zip tie the plate somehow onto the taillight assembly and possibly risk losing the plate entirely on the way back, I thought the best solution was to zip tie the plate to me! Plus, I found a replacement bracket at the event for $ 5.00.
Please take note of the police car in the background on the right. I made sure to not draw too much attention as I made a hasty departure!

Congrats on your "Most Unique" trophy Vince. You deserve it!
Tried to say Hi in the cafeteria but you were deep into it with your friend and didn't hear me. I got 3rd place.....again, and my buddy got runner up. All Superhawks seem to win something, somehow, and all those who rode them there had mishaps! My starter clutch grenaded on the way up and made the trip home miserable! Sounded like a loose connecting rod slapping hard! No loss of power just serious anxiety about what's going on in there. My buddy had a lock-up experience on the way up as well, so I'm thinking maybe his is messed up too! Coincidence? Hmmmm...
