Fabricating aluminum carb funnels
Fabricating aluminum carb funnels
Can anyone recommend a shop for replication of some aluminum carb funnels for a 250cc twin? They would need to be turned from solid material, with metric threads on the carb end. I have an original as a pattern. Thanks, Randall
Carb tubes
Are they straight or do they have a dog leg in them?
Do you have a pic?

Intake Carb funnels
Would be better suited to a CNC lathe.
I only have manuals.
Most any job shop with CNC equipment would be able to reverse engineer them for you with the sample.
My suggestion for material would be 7076-T73 bar to start with. It is much stronger than 6061-T6.
Good luck,
Gary

i have 6 cnc lathes and a cnc machining center at my disposal and would be glad to pump out a couple of these if you like. nothing better than straying from the normal product line we make and manufacturing sidejob parts. I would need a sample or a decent sketch/blueprint to work from. Hard to tell the scale of the part from the pic ... looks like it could be 1/2" big or 5" big. i'd guess they're towards the smaller end.
where abouts are you located ?
