Most of these bikes never attained that mileage before they were set aside. ...............lm

I think I may lead another group ride on Sunday, since the weather here is going to be in the mid-60s.
I don't think I'm going to be doing the camshafts this winter, as I don't think I can afford to have it done at the moment. Besides, the bike's been doing well as-is!
Just calculated total mileage since I got the bike in 2004, and it's about 28,000 miles total that I've put on the bike!

I have quite a collection of speedos from CLs, Dreams and CBs. I don't think I've seen one with more than about 12,000.
Back in the day, I did 14,000 miles on my CB400F in the first year.

I also have speedo's with less than 20,000 miles.
I had a couple of CL72 bikes in the 60's and both had over 40,000 when I sold them.
Now that was the time to ride anywhere all the time!. ...............lm

That's quite a mileage for a Scrambler!

I think the most I ever did in one year was in 1989 when I went to Alaska and the lower 48 from Toronto on my '81 CB900F. That trip alone was 11,000 miles, plus whatever else I did the rest of that year. The previous year I know I did about 18,000km/11,000 miles total (and that included a road trip to Texas, Louisiana, etc) but those were the days when a motorcycle and public transportation were my only means of getting around. Plus I did many more long rides back then. Don't think I'll get anywhere near that kind of annual mileage again.
When I bought my SuperHawk in 2004, it had 4,000 original miles on it -- amazing that it only did that much over 38 years.

Hit the Maryland backroads again today, and put another 100 miles under the SuperHawk's belt.
Thought this was a nice spot to park the bike for a photo:
