I sold the Mouse That Roared and since then I don't have a rider but that's OK as I Have good memories of the Rides, Racing and Rebuilding as I do today. ................lm

How many mikes this year Vince? .................lm
Thanks for asking, Ed -- unfortunately I've only managed about 1400 miles this year, mostly comprised of weekend rides with friends and some on my own. The bike had been out of commission from January thru March this year because of the installation of the Cappellini oil pump, plus the wheels were out being painted by my friend Lee Hulteng, so my riding 'season' didn't start until March. So March-November, 1400 miles. Season's not quite over yet though!

I had plans to do a road trip this year, but it didn't materialize. I mean, I have done road trips this year (to Charlotte, North Carolina for work, and to Toronto, Ontario to visit family), plus trips to New Mexico, Montana, and most recently Germany, but they were all either by car or plane. I've been trying to strike a balance between doing trips on my own with doing trips with my wife, and a motorcycle trip this year would have tipped the scales in the wrong direction! Ah well, there's always next year....

I haven't been out to Mid-Ohio in a number of years, so perhaps next year might be the year for a re-visit. Plus finally a stop at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington.

Yes many times. I'd love to go when they have their Vintage Festival, but that's in October, and my wife and I usually go away during that time (usually to Europe somewhere). So if I did plan on going there, it would have to be at another time of year. Plus it's about 800 miles from here -- not a big deal, mileage-wise, but I'd have to figure 2 days each way riding, plus a number of days there, plus stops along the way. That could be a 10-12 day trip, easily. I think at this stage of the game I don't know if I'd want to do a trip on the bike for that length of time. Think I'd rather devote that length of time in New Mexico or overseas somewhere.

Other alternative would be to trailer the bike down to Barber, but of course that would be cheating :)

I've been there 3 times now and it is a long DRIVE< I bring the 5th wheel and friends join me there.
They trailer/truck their bikes and ride in the local area and around the track area.
Me! I ride on the back. ............:-). ..............lm

I've been trying to plan one of my trips when the Vintage Festival is on for the last 5 years or so, but never made it.

I would love to go. I have a friend who lives near Atlanta and we've been over to the museum a couple of times and it's fantastic

The swap meet this year was good as I found some engine parts and the tool seller fellow had bargains on tools I needed.
VJMC had a super BBQ dinner
I hope to attend next year. ...........lm
