It looks as though that neck will help during filling as well.( help prevent splash over). I've gone to a couple stations where the pumps are hard to control. I try to fill it at home whenever possible. You'll definately have a one of a kind there. Cant wait to see it all painted up.

Yes I'm anxious to see it finished as well!
The only thing is that the push-button latch that came with the CB350 tank has a crack in it, and the only replacement latches I can find are the keyed versions (the push-button latch was recalled in 1978 and replaced with the keyed latch). Though I much prefer the look of the button latch, the keyed version is going to have to do for now until I find a good push-button version. Fortunately it's fairly straightforward to replace, so if I find one down the line it's not a big deal to switch it out. Maybe I'll luck out and find one at Mid-Ohio in a few weeks.
Tank Update -- all the priming is done, and it's ready for paint. The humidity has affected the schedule a bit, but it will be done by the middle of next week.
DowntoScratch has graciously supplied me with a push-button latch for the gas cap (thanks Jerry!), and Ronnie Brown is going to be putting a nice new chrome finish on it within the next week. The whole shebang will then be going to John (mechanic) for assembly and final checkups before the Mid-Ohio sojourn. Can't wait!
