1965 Dream 305

So I am interested in a local bike and am in need of some assistance to determine its authenticity. I have always wanted to restore a dream for my dad but it doesn't seem to add up to what I think it should be. This one certainly fits the bill. First off, I would like some assitance determining why my eyes see what really isn't there. I don't want to make the treck without getting some answers first.

If this is a 1965 dream 305 then what is with the front and rear "fender"?

what exactly is this bike? smaller than a motor?

a dream with a different fender? ca72? I am stumped.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

thanks.

Mike

It's just a Dream that has been hacked around. The rear fender has been sawn off and the front fender has been replaced with that little fender.

You'll need to find a donor bike to get a replacement section to weld back onto the frame.

Also appears to be missing left hand carburetor cover, battery and it looks like, the air cleaner. Looks like non-stock handlebars and mufflers. Missing upper and lower chain guard as well. Looks very restorable to me!
