CA77 NOW IN THE UKCA77 NOW IN THE UKI have just taken delivery of a 1961 CA77 for restoration which was imported from the USA last week.
This was the nearest I could get to my old C77 which I bought new in 1965 in the UK(long done now). The work has now started and I will keep this forum updated on my progress.
Re: CA77 NOW IN THE UKWelcome to the forum. Where, in the UK, are you based? Hello, just read your post. I'm in the UK and have several bikes most of which I'm going to offload because I'm never going to get around to doing them. I have a 62 C72, 62 C77 (both pressed steel handlebars) 64 C72, a couple of 65 CA77's in bits plus a mass of parts: engines, frames, wheels, boxes of bits, various nos spares, one or two CL77 items (seat, exhaust, dismantled engine).
There is also a very early 1960 305 bike numbered C77A instead of CA77. It is absolutely rock bottom dog rough (I mean it) but it must have been one of the first sold. Came with a California plate. I think it should be preserved but most people would say it was beyond redemption. I have collected some nos parts for this but you would need to be an expert to tackle it. I will be keeping one of the bikes and enough nos parts to restore it. The rest will be going. So anyone interested pm me. I'm working 350 miles away from where the bikes are located so I wont be able to nip out and check anything but I have some photos I took last time I was there. Cheers Patrick. CA77 Now in the UKHere is the machine as delivered from the USA two weeks ago.
It as now been completely stripped down and ready for restoration,it will be painted red to match the bike I had in 1965.
