Stupid Question? How Do I Check The Oil Level?

Post by RRIXX » Thu Sep 22, 2016 1:24 pm

I'll be damned if I can figure out how to check the engine oil on my 305 Dream. No window that I can see, no dipstick. Was hoping I could figure out how to do this before I had to post this. Feeling embarrased......

I'll assume you're not kidding. See the photo below. Oil goes in here. Dipstick is attached. You need an owner's handbook. You can usually find them on ebay, but if you pm me an email address, I'll send you a copy in .pdf format.

Ahaa!! That's where it was hiding. I looked everywhere except under the grey side covers, guess I should have done that. My bad.

Thanks Seadog.

Is the oil level checked with the dip stick screwed in, or just resting on the engine case?

Drop it in without screwing it.
