Signal not flashing

Post by Robbie63 » Thu Apr 28, 2016 6:43 am

When I put my signal light on they light up as they should, they just don't flash but I can hear the flasher makin a horrible noise. I have been taping it in an attempt to get it to work, but no luck.just woundering if this sounds like a bad connection or needin a new one.thanks for any advice. Rob

I would say it's the contacts inside the flasher are corroded or burned through. Try substituting a known good flasher in its place. Beware not all thermal flashers are suitable for small loads like only two bulbs on a cycle. Newer electronic units work well for varying loads, smaller loads or LED bulbs.

Only way I could get my flashers to work on the original flasher unit was to fit 5w bulbs. I fitted a modern relay unit that fitted into the original cradle and fitted 15w bulbs and everything works perfect.
