Sadly my 1965 Dream is FOR SALE...

Post by rzgkane » Tue Jan 22, 2013 4:59 pm

I just don't use this bike enough to justify it sitting in my garage collecting dust. Someone needs to show it, ride it and care for it. The bike is absolutely beautiful and runs perfectly. Many extra parts can go with it for the right deal. I have a spare motor, solo seat, twin seat and much more.

If you go to Flicker at the address below you can see more pics of it. I have re-coated and polished several pieces since the photos were taken and most of the pics on Flickr are the before shots.

For giggles I had this seat made for the bike as well. I like the look of the white seat better than the original red.

wow, I hope you get your asking price, I'll have to adjust the value of mine with Grundy.

Nice looking bike, never seen a blue one with red seat before.

Thanks.

It is my understanding that the blue with red seat combo was standard issue.

Thanks. The price is a bit ambitious, to be sure. But it's just an invitation to make an offer.

This one should bring as much as any 1965 is likely to bring.

Thanks. Bittersweet, though. That bike is a work of art and I hate to see it go. But the buyer will get more life out of it than I do. It's headed back up to the Bay Area to be ridden and seen.

And despite the ample selling price, I have more $$ into it than it fetched. That's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I didn't buy it as an investment.
