kick starter flies back

Post by Banks » Thu Aug 26, 2010 10:32 am

Hope someone has some experience with this problem. I recently noticed that when I accelerate hard in first gear on my 1964 ca77, that the kick starter slaps backward, even hitting on the muffler if you really flog it . anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
thanks in advance.
Mike

Hmm well this has happened to me two 2 times in one day that was about a year ago MAN did it scare me. and I must say I now have a dent in the muffler from it to!!!!
I can say that I have not had the problem anymore but I did nothing to fix it.
So hope that someone can answer this as I would like to address the problem too.
