CA77E DreamCA77E DreamI just perchased a CA77E dream. After getting it home I realize how many parts are missing from this old bike. It has a Motor No. CA77E 1029273 Fram No. CA78 1029171 It seems to have been really Mickey Moused around in it's time. It has 25000 miles on it. IS this a lot for this kind of bike? The tranny shifts ok. I had the carb cleaned and the tank cleaned. The engine sounds loud. Not like the sillent runner I remember from back then. The Title and fram no. match it says it is a 1969. Is this the last year the dream was made? Also has electrical problems I have a parts manual but not to much in it about the electrical system. I could use a diagram if anybody can help me here. Wires have been cut the horn does not work the electric starter does not work or click the in line fuse is gone and reworked. I reaklly do not know why this would have been done. About the only thing that works are the lights. I sure could use help here from any of you dream lovers.

Wolfie
Re: CA77 Dream"CA77E" is the engine serial number prefix. The bike is actually just a "CA77." I believe '67 was the last year they actually built the bikes, but the ones that didn't sell immediately were titled with the year they were first registered, not the year they were built. Odds are your bike is a '67.

For a wiring diagram, check out http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/WiringDiagram ... .php#class (the closest thing they have is the one for a C77). I myself only just got my '64 Dream so don't have much first-hand experience with the electricals, but just take them one at a time and you should be alright.

Kevin in PA
