CA77 Steering Damper

Can anyone tell me how the steering damper works and how to properly adjust it?

To get friction you turn the knob clockwise. This will will cause you to HAVE TO PUSH/PULL the bars rather than merely lean the bike in the direction you want to turn it.
I never use the one on my SH. ..............lm
