Chrome Side Covers on my 62 Dream

Post by Wiley_Nash » Sun Oct 08, 2006 7:25 pm

Hi - Nice to be here!
I have a 62 Dream and with chrome side covers. Can anyone tell me what the significance is of the battery cover and rectifier/coil cover... being chrome? I can't seem to find another with these covers...
Looking forward to someone in the know giving me a little history on this bike!
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Wiley

Wiley, I believe a previous owner musta had that done,it's not original. It sure looks cool though.I'll bet 305 would kill for those! Steve(Kustommusic) Greer

Yep, not a stock finish. I have had CB77's given the same chrome treatment. Looks cool, but not original. I have heard it said that dealers trying to drum up business would do custom chrome on their Hondas...who knows...By the way, those mufflers are interesting...never seen anything quite like it on a Dream.

Very common in those days to chrome sidecovers on CBs and CAs.
