I made my own too!! Last March I had beautiful whitewalls. By last July they were beigewalls. By November they were tanwalls, and next week they'll be Portawalls!! The sad thing is, I never even got a chance to ride on them. The white paint just sucked the color out of the tire, even after meticulous prep.

Mine still look good. I didn't do mine on brand new tires though which I think makes a difference.

I still might recoat them this spring but that was the only way I could get the whitewalls like I wanted them.

I ended up getting the Kenda 671's with the 1 5/8" port a walls.
not as wide as KellieLyyne's but still looks good.
bit of a battle getting one of them on properly but finally managed.

here's a pick of the 1 5/8" portawalls on the Kenda 671's.
easy enough to install in under 1/2 hour.

Those look good!!! I love my Kendas! I couldnt find the 1 5/8" portawalls when I was looking that is why I went with the larger ones and trimmed them down. Where did you find your portawalls? We have to adjust our portawalls many times also to get them to seet correctly. But after a few tries it all worked out. The bike is looking good. I love seeing pictures of other peoples bikes. Nice Job!!!
