Making some progress -

Got the side and center stands, rear brake linkages, peg mounts, shocks, chainguard, and pipes on. So far I've been lucky, and have had all of the parts I've needed. Bought them way back when I started the project.

Probably going to pull the carb and look it over, then fire it up. Changed the oil and cleaned the "filter" when I removed the inspection cover on the left engine case to redo some areas that were corroded.

Still need to polish out the paint, but I'm going to give it a little more time to dry.

You sure this hasn't been in a crate for 50years must be one of the best originals I have seen.

Thanks. I'm trying hard to keep it as original as possible.

It's looking better after some touch-ups, but it did look a bit rougher in-person than in the photos at the start - but it was all there.

It must have had a pretty easy life before I got it, except for a few dents here and there, and it only has 6800 mi on it.

Hasn't been run in over 20 years, and it fired-up 1st kick!

My oldest boy (pictured) was home from college this weekend, and always likes the challenge of getting an engine running again -

Electric start isn't working, but it looks like it's the relay. Clutch wouldn't disengage, but we eventually got it free. Made some basic carb adjustments and now it's idling smoothly. I was expecting some challenges to get it running, and maybe a shop full of smoke - but no such problems.

Great looking Dream I have a 69 black Dream about the same condition with 3,800 miles 1 owner before me, I love it. just needs riding and some work like you are doing

Got the starter working and installed the rubber air filter boot and air filter. Who the !#$%^&! designed that system?

Next I'll polish the paint (good and dry at this point) and get everything on except the tank and seat.

I need to get some parts for the petcock and figure out what to do with the seat that has a 1" x 1/4" gash in the cover. I really don't want a new cover, as it will kill the original look.

Anyone point me in the right direction for petcock parts and maybe a stencil for the seat cover? The lettering is about 60% faded, and was originally gold. I might try to lightly stencil it back on without going overboard.

Am I correct that the brake light only lights with the rear brake? My brake light is working, but only with the rear.

I found this kit worked for my petcock. Yes the brake light only works on the rear brake.
When I re stenciled my CA95 seat a guy at work did it in 9crt gold leaf the stencil I made was from a Honda parts book the lettering on the cover is the identical size.
