Low mileage, Original Dream?Jensen
That bike has a lot of mods. I am thinking of drilling out the plugs on one of my cylinders as I have to get the oil gallery welded up where the cam chain has worn through. I either to drill it after the welding or put i some kind of brass rod to keep the gallery open while it is being welded. Either way I will put in stainless hex-head plugs like the ones you show in the picture. The bike looks great but is far from being original and unrestored. G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

I raised a furrowed brow when I saw the listing. I sent the guy a question about the mufflers within 12 hours of the listing. I told him they were either CA95 or CA160 mufflers and I was surprised that an unrestored, 580 original mile bike didn't have it's original mufflers on it and wondered what happened to them. After looking at it harder they are CA95 mufflers. You can see it uses a left side muffler on the right side, the flat plate that holds the stand rubber is pointing skyward. His response, "That's the way I got it". I think it odd how he touts the original seamless tank and references the 1961 year on the harness but doesn't recognize the incorrect mufflers. I think it is a bit suspect that he is not posting the questions/answers for prospective buyers.
The frame number baffles me -80008 for a 1961? It is obviously a repaint, and brewsky you're right about Honda stamping frames after they were painted. I'm guessing those "8"s are "3"s with the flow in from the paint making it hard to read, at least that is what it looks like to me from the photo. HT So, I heard back from my brother, and he called his friend about the bike. Turns out it's a different bike. Strange coincidence, as he's in Fallon Nevada, very close to where this guy is located. His only has 150 miles on it, and is black. He had a CA150, crashed and totaled it, and the insurance company bought him a new bike. The dealer didn't have any 150s, so he got the CA77. I'll work on my brother to get some pics of the bike, and next time I'm up visiting, I'm going to try and see it in person!

Talk about coincidences......last week I stopped by to see an old friend from years ago, as I heard he had an old Honda sitting in his office. Sure 'nuff he had an original late model CA77 with just over 1,000 miles on it sitting beside his desk. He wasn't there so I didn't have a chance to ask any questions about year etc., but I think he bought it new. I will go back with a camera and see if I can get some decent pics to post. I think it would be good to have some posted pics of true unmolested original bikes on the site. 66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing
