dream tires

Post by mike1969 » Sat Jan 15, 2011 8:08 pm

I had the Coker wide whites on my first Dream.I seem to remember a 200 lb. load rating.
I'm not sure exactly what that meant. Does it mean that the max. load per tire?
I do remember being leery about riding a 375 lb. bike and me being over 200 lbs. and the tires were very flimsy.

I'm just wondering what the load rating is for the 3.25x16 scooter tires.

I still have the Goodyear wide whites on mine. Kind of cracked in spots but they have tubes so I trust them for the little local runs I make.

I managed to find my original Nitto's last summer. The original ones that came on the bike. Still with tread. Don't know what I'll do with them but I have them.

I'm also having trouble finding this size tire. I would definitely stay away from moped tires cuz I can just about guarantee they are J-rated (max 62mph). Plus the weight difference between a Tomos and a Dream is pretty drastic. Does anyone else have experience with any of the ones that Coker sells? They seem to be the only place that has them.

Cool, I usually get my other little scooter tires from Motorcycle Superstore. So the 100/90x16 fits pretty good? That should be a little wider than a 3.5x16, and definitely wider than the recommended 3.25x16. But if it works, that's great news since there are quite a few different tread patterns available at that size!
