More detailed measurement? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm going to have to craft mine out of stainless stock. I'd appreciate some measurements if someone has time. The parts I need are:

Top bag hangers--the part the dzus fasteners go into. These look to be around 12"x6" with two angles formed into them. Is that about right? How thick is the stock used?

Connecting bar--the part that goes across the top of the fender. My calibrated eye says around 12"x1.5", but I've been wrong before. Also, how thick.

U-connectors--again they look to be around 1.5", but how thick are they?

If I can get these measurements, I'll post detailed plans and pictures of what I can put together. That way, it would be possible to pick up a set of Bucos from a different bike and frame up a mount for the CA77.

Saw a pair from a Guzzi on Ebay awhile back. Very thrashed. One cover missing and no lenses. Brackets didn't look original. And they still went for $120!!

just saw this and thought i'd add my 1 cent.

i had some buco's that were the non gel coated bags.

these bags were completely refurbished including chroming all the latches and light housings.

theres a guy on the four wheel forum ( http://fourwheelperformance.com/forum/ ) that goes by the name of spokes.

he has Mad Skills an has duplicated all the mounting hardware from stainless and is a Guru at restoring these bags!

Help with wiring Twinmaster lights?

Post by Cheburashka » Sat Mar 26, 2011 8:48 pm

I just found out that Washington State requires blinkers on all bikes, regardless of age. There's a new sense of urgency in getting the Twinmasters mounted. Mine have the original light fixtures on the back, with mounting sockets for bulbs. I've purchased LED bulbs to use in these. The problem is that there are no wires coming out. the mount looks like the classic gauge mount that you'd see on the back of a dashboard, and there's an insert in the central threaded tube that is spring loaded and has a center contact. It's clear that something went into the back to make contact with that insert so that current could be transferred to the bulb, but I have no idea what it's supposed to look like. Anyone have original Bucos with the proper light fixtures? Care to shoot me a picture of the set-up?

Thanks
