Mine doesn't have the emblem. No holes either.

No holes (it alomost looks like an emblem on mine, but it's not). Also, they had the longer "Gray" fender rubber. I just sent one to Greg Clauss to reproduce, so he'll have them for sale.

My 61 has 2 holes...........and its an original bike...............Im 2nd owner............Weird..................

Thanks, just polished. I bead blast the centers and coat with an clear anadyzing solution I got from an aircraft buddy. Works good. I want to buy a big vibratory polisher, but don't have the money or space for it. These were hand polished, look good, but lots more time! I just noticed I need to get the seat stenciled...Still afraid I'll screw up my newly recovered seat..

Yes ok..............I've been polishing using a walmart orbiting buffer and rouge......works extremely well. Im sure the rouge makes the difference. I want to polish hubs but I dont know how to respoke and true up wheel..............so im not messing with them...lol

It's not that tough to do. I pull them down, rezinc the spokes (yellow for the nuts) polish and bead blast the hubs and put them back together. A local shop will true the wheels and mount the tires. It helps to have another wheel to look at while your doing it, and remember to do all the inner spokes first. I kind of think it's fun!
