I'm not really concerned about the numbers being faked. It would be nice to know what serial number range it fits in for getting parts in the future. I bought it from someone knowledgeable about dreams and I trust them.

It is a hoot to ride, but the brakes need some work. I rode a Honda CB160 FROM Seattle to Ruston, Louisiana and back in 1969. My folks took me to see Easy Rider that was on the movie circuit back then to scare some sense into me. I didn't work and I still don't have any sense.

I will get some low res photos this weekend and post them.

I don't think you'll have many problems getting parts based on your number. The number of genuine parts is diminishing by the day and it's always best for 'cosmetic' parts to get pictures as so many of them are marked incorrectly even from the big boys like David Silver and CMS.

The bikes changed in style around 1963 and the cosmetic differences such as the tank and seat are pretty obvious. You just have to get skilled at recognizing the differences.

This is my 1962 bike before I took it apart.

Wow, what does that bike look like now? I admire the capabilities of the people on this site being able to restore forgotten gems to their new glory. I have a 66 CB72 that is not quite as bad as the picture you posted that I hope to restore.

The bike is looking great!

I see another 1962 CA77 on ebay right now with serial numbers similar to mine that don't fit the posted table. I'll put this post to bed since the table must not be complete.

It is nice to have a passion about something that is shared by so many that are willing to assist others.
